The author
Kagiso Lesego Molope was born in South Africa in 1976. She is a graduate in English Literature and Literary Theory from the University of Cape Town. «Im Schatten des Zitronenbaums» (engl.title: The Mending Season) is her second book. Her first novel «Dancing in the Dust» is a a set-work for high schools in South Africa. Molope lives and writes now in Canada. She says about her work: «I write the stories I would have liked to have read when I was younger - coming of age stories about being young, African and female.».
