1. Field of application
These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed on this website. The seller of all goods is the Baobab Books association, Oscar Frey-Strasse 6, CH-4059 Basel. Exceptions apply to orders from resellers, these are made via the deliveries of the association.

2. Conclusion and fulfillment of the contract

By placing an order by clicking the "send" button on this website, by email, post, telephone or other communication channels, the customer is submitting a binding offer to conclude a contract. Orders by email are generally confirmed by Baobab Books. The contractual relationship is established through this confirmation.
Baobab Books does not fulfill orders that are obviously improper or incomplete. We reserve ownership of the delivered goods until they have been paid for in full. The availability of the desired article is also reserved.

3. Prices

Price changes, errors and processing errors reserved. For orders, the prices valid on the day of delivery apply. The prices in CHF apply to orders with billing and delivery addresses in Switzerland and Lichtenstein. The prices in EURO apply to orders with billing and delivery addresses within the EU.

4. Shipping conditions Switzerland

We deliver the ordered titles to the address you have given. If a title is not available, you will receive a message. Goods are always sent with the Swiss Post and at the “Economy” tariff. Baobab Books will invoice the shipping costs. For items in the “Letter” category, depending on weight and size, CHF 3.50 or CHF 5.50 will be charged; for items that have to be sent as a “parcel” due to their size or weight, CHF 9.– or CHF 12.–, depending on weight and size, will be charged. No shipping costs will be charged for orders of CHF 150 or more.
The delivery time within Switzerland is 2-4 working days. Any claims for damages by the customer in connection with the delivery time are excluded.

5. Shipping conditions EU           

The titles you have ordered with a delivery address within Germany will be delivered by a partnering bookstore to the address you have given, provided they are available in Germany. If a title is not available, you will receive a message. The partnering bookstore will invoice the shipping costs. The calculation is based on the cheapest Deutsche Post / DHL tariff. For delivery addresses in all other countries, the cheapest transport route is sought and the actual postage costs incurred are offset. An advance invoice applies to all deliveries to the EU that are sent directly by Baobab Books.
The delivery time is 2-4 working days. Any claims for damages by the customer in connection with the delivery time are excluded.

6. Payment

Payment is made against invoice within 30 days; the publisher can request prepayment for new customers.

7. Returns and revocation

In the event of manufacturing defects or incorrect deliveries, we will exchange the item in question for a flawless copy. Please always state the invoice number and the reason for the return. The return is at your own liability / risk, the customer bears the burden of proof for the dispatch of the returned goods.
Voluntary right of withdrawal: We take back goods in perfect, salable condition within 10 days as a gesture of goodwill and against credit. Instead of sending them back by post, the goods to be returned can also be returned to the publisher.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient to send the item (verifiable date of posting) or return the item to the following address:

The customer bears the costs for the return, unless the goods delivered do not correspond to those ordered.

7. Personal Data

With your order, you consent to Baobab Books storing your personal data in machine-readable form and processing or using it for its own, program-specific advertising for the purpose of executing the existing contractual relationship and until further notice. The intended purpose includes, in particular, delivery and invoice processing.
Baobab Books only passes on personal customer data to third parties that are necessary to execute or pay for the order (for example to Swiss Post, the Mundo Azul bookstore for deliveries within Germany, to a debt collection agency in the event of non-payment). All personal data are treated with the strictest confidentiality. For the rest, reference is made to the data protection declaration.

8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction The provisions of Swiss law apply exclusively. The place of jurisdiction for all claims in connection with the business relationship is Basel (Switzerland).
