Apartheid separated the lives of blacks and whites in South Africa. In 1990 the system starts to disintegrate, Nelson Mandela is released from prison, and there are the first «mixed» schools. Tshidiso is proud and insecure, when her first day at the grammar school in the city begins. So far she has only known the life of the township. Now she sits in a classroom with whites. But the other black girls are also different …
Everybody tries hard, but it is a turbulent time. In a sports lesson one of Tshidiso‘s class mates brings it to a head, when she calls her names. In no time the whole school is in commotion. When even the media reports about the incident, Tshisido has to face a decision: Will she tell the truth?
