One night, in the dim darkness of his room, Moin heard something shuffling and sniffling under his bed. "Who's that?" Moin squeaked. It's a monster! Moin flashed the light under the bed. "But I can't see you."
"You can only see me if you draw me,"  the invisible creature replies and starts with a detailed self-description. The problem is, Moin's drawing skills are limited. But then the monster is on the paper and out in the world. And Moin has to learn how to live with a monster which does nothing but eat bananas and dates, sing silly songs and try out new hairstyles.
However, keeping the monster a secret from his parents and teachers is a tough task and finally Moin decides that the only thing to do is send the monster back where it came from. The monster though sees things a little differently …
